I met with Michelle & Rob over Skype back in November and never imagined that conversation would turn into an incredibly awesome trip to New York. These two were referred to me by my favorites, Megan & Kyle, and were actually guests at their wedding out on Catalina Island last fall, not to mention they’re friends with a ton of my other brides this year, I LOVE all my Alphi Phi alumni brides! So Michelle & Rob live in Manhattan, and when we started discussing engagement session locations, they really didn’t have any spots in LA that had any meaning (and Rob had never actually been), so I tossed around the idea of a little NYC engagement session, I was stoked to hear they were totally down for it! If you don’t know, I’m a huge traveler, and any chance to mix a little work in with shooting is a good day. After making arrangements for me to head back east, we started brainstorming ideas and settled on basically a full-day shoot all around the westside of Manhattan, I figured if we’re going to shoot in the city, we might as well make a day of it! We ended up shooting at some of the best spots around town, including Central Park, The High Line, West Village (and apparently Sarah Jessica Parker’s stoop lol), Meatpacking, and Hudson Park out on the river. Needless to say, we got some killer shots (and amazing weather) for the entire day. I can’t wait for Michelle & Rob’s wedding this summer in LA!
